Arizona Youth Leadership Conference Summer Program

Greetings to everyone,

The Santa Cruz Valley Chapter is now accepting student scholar applications for the upcoming Arizona Youth Leadership Conference Summer Program to be offered from 13-18 June 2016. Please see the attached AZYLC 2016 Program Brochure, MOWW AZYLC Program Fact Sheet and/or visit our AZYLC program website at www.AZYLC.org for more online program details.

Our local Chapter in Green Valley will be interviewing and subsidizing 7 to possibly 8 student applicant delegates this year – so we ask that any interested applicants prepare all the required documentation at the earliest opportunity for review and consideration. Qualified applicants must be a sophomore or junior during the 2015-2016 Academic School Year and must have a competitive student GPA to be considered. All community youth leadership development programs (i.e., Junior ROTC. Scouting and Explorer Cadet programs) are welcome to apply as are student honor students (i.e., Honor Roll and Honor Society members) not necessarily participating or affiliated with any particular youth leadership development program.

The AZYLC Summer Program application process consists of completing two forms:

  1. Military Order of the World wars (MOWW) Arizona Youth Leadership Conference Application form
  2. Completing  PART I – “Parental Authorization and Release”, PART II – “Parental Authorization to Consent to Treatment of Minor”, and PART III – “Medical History of Student”
    1. must include the proper endorsement signatures and notary certification. Any supporting documentation should also be included, attached and submitted with the aforementioned documentation paperwork.

To help expedite the processing and review of the submitted documentation for follow-on candidate interview consideration, we ask that the information entered on to the forms be clearly printed, neatly entered and legible. Of particular importance is any “contact” and “emergency” information provided such as email addresses, any mailing addresses and phone number data. Any incomplete application packages received WILL NOT be considered for candidate selection.

Please return all application materials to AZYLC Chapter selection committee via email attachment at marlon.ruiz@earthlink.net  The due date, to have all interested application documentation submitted to our Chapter AZYLC Summer Program Selection Committee for review and follow-on interview consideration will be Friday, the 15th of April 2016.
